Who Can Participate?

  • Only a bonafide regular student, currently officially enrolled/registered and pursuing a degree from VTU affiliated, autonomous, constituent colleges & Schools of Architecture with a valid USN is eligible to participate.
  • The athlete must be below 25 years of age as on 1st July 2026.

Team Registration

  • Registration must be completed online only using the official link: sportskittiptur.in
  • Entry Fee: ₹100/- per participant per individual event | ₹400/- per relay event
  • Entry fees must be paid through ONLINE mode only.
  • Detailed entries must be submitted on or before 12th March 2026.
  • 15th March 2026 is the last date to submit detailed entries with a penalty of ₹1000/-. After this date, entries will not be accepted.
  • After completing registration and payment, download the registration report (PDF). A hard copy duly signed by the Head of the Institution (with seal) and Physical Education Director, along with the fee receipt, must be submitted during the event.
  • Eligibility in the university-prescribed format, duly signed by the Principal and PED, must be produced during the meet.
Note: Hard copies of the registration form, fee receipt, and eligibility documents must be submitted at the registration counter during the event.

Rules and Regulations

  • Competitions shall be conducted as per the rules and regulations of IAAF and AIU.
  • A college team must consist of a minimum of 08 athletes (Men/Women).
  • An athlete may participate in any two individual events and one relay (4x100m / 4x400m). Please note: 4x400m Mixed Relay and Half Marathon are common events.
  • Not more than two participants per individual event and one relay team per college will be allowed.
  • 4x400m Mixed Relay must include 02 Men and 02 Women from the same college in the order: Leg 1 – W, Leg 2 – M, Leg 3 – W, Leg 4 – M.
  • Only two reserves are permitted for 4x100m and 4x400m relays (Men & Women).
  • Only one reserve is permitted for individual events.
  • Athletes must report to the call room 30 minutes prior to their scheduled event.
  • Direct reporting to ground technical officials will not be entertained.
  • Proper sportswear is mandatory. Transferable sportswear, casuals, jeans, or bermudas are not permitted.
  • Sports shoes are compulsory. Barefoot participation or use of sandals/chappals is not allowed.
  • A minimum of four athletes from four different colleges per individual event and at least four teams per relay are required to conduct the event.
  • Athletes must wear allotted competition bib numbers on both front and back.
  • A reserve participant must also be registered for at least one event.

Reporting and Registration

Registration counters will start on 25th March 2026 from 08:00 AM onwards at KVS Athletic Stadium, Kalpataru Institute of Technology Campus.

The team manager must produce the following documents:

  • Eligibility proforma signed by Principal/competent authority and PED
  • Copy of registration form
  • Entry fee receipt
  • College ID card
  • Attested copy of SSLC or Date of Birth certificate
  • Attested copy of PUC/Equivalent/Degree certificate
  • Copy of Aadhaar Card
  • Medical Fitness Certificate (for Half Marathon participants)

Transportation

  • Transportation will be provided on 25th March 2026 from 6:00 AM onwards from Tiptur Bus Stand and Tiptur Railway Station to KIT Campus.
  • Participants arriving by bus may alight at Tiptur Bus Stand.
  • Participants arriving by train may alight at Tiptur Railway Station.
  • Private autos are available from both Bus Stand and Railway Station.

Boarding and Lodging

  • Accommodation will be provided to participants and accompanying officials.
  • A refundable caution deposit of ₹1000/- must be paid separately by both Men and Women teams. (Non-refundable in case of damage or loss.)
  • Participants must bring their own light bedding, locks, chains, and keys.
  • Participants are advised not to carry valuables such as gold, expensive mobiles, cameras, or large cash amounts.
  • The college will not be responsible for any loss of valuables.

Important Notes

  • Managers’ Meeting: 25th March 2026 at 5:00 PM in KIT Auditorium, KIT Campus.
  • All teams must participate in the March-past with their college flag and uniform. Failure to participate will result in disqualification from events.
  • Teams must assemble on the ground 45 minutes prior to the inaugural function.
  • Detailed entries must be submitted within the due date to facilitate souvenir printing.
  • The organizers reserve the right to add, modify, or remove rules and adjust the schedule as necessary.
